About this tool
Enlarge a small or blurry image up to 2x or 4x its original size using an AI super-resolution model, which reconstructs sharper detail rather than just stretching the pixels like a basic resize. Good for slightly improving old, low-resolution, or compressed photos before printing or reuse. This runs on CPU (no GPU on our server), so very large images may take a few extra seconds.
It's worth setting expectations correctly: super-resolution can meaningfully sharpen edges and reduce blockiness compared to a plain resize, but it can't invent detail that was never captured in the original photo — a severely blurry or heavily compressed source image will still look soft after upscaling, just less so than before. It tends to work best starting from a moderately low-resolution (not extremely tiny or extremely degraded) source image.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fix a very blurry photo?
It will sharpen and reduce blockiness compared to a plain resize, but it can't recover detail that was never captured in the original — severely blurry sources will look better but still not perfectly sharp.
Should I choose 2x or 4x?
2x is usually enough for moderate enlargement and processes faster. 4x is better when you need a much larger final size, but takes longer since there's no GPU involved.
