About this tool

Conversion runs on our server using ffmpeg, the same audio/video engine used by most professional tools.

Bitrate is the main quality/size tradeoff to think about: 128kbps is fine for spoken-word content like lectures or podcasts where small file size matters more than perfect fidelity, while 320kbps preserves music much more faithfully at a larger file size. If you're not sure which to pick, 192kbps is a reasonable middle ground for most everyday audio.
