The skip link points nowhere
skip-linkOur plugin repairs this
There is a "skip to content" link, but the place it points to does not exist on the page, so pressing it does nothing.
Who this affects
Keyboard and screen reader users, who press it expecting to jump past the menu and stay exactly where they were.
Fix it in WordPress
The link usually targets #content or #main. Check that the theme's template actually prints an element with that id, it is often lost when a page builder replaces the content wrapper.
What the fix is, technically
Make sure the id the skip link targets exists on the page and can receive focus.
Or let the plugin do it
This is one of the failures AccessVane can repair for you. It changes the pages your server actually sends, not a script layered on top, and switching the repair off puts everything back exactly as your theme had it.
